Joycelyn Albury is a current doctoral student in the Combined School and Counseling Psychology program at the Florida State University. She is originally from Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Florida State University in Psychology and her Master’s degree at Nova Southeastern University in Mental Health Counseling. She is currently a registered mental health counselor intern. She has worked with various populations, including clients with eating disorders, inmate populations, crisis intervention, and within community mental health agencies supporting children and adolescents with various externalizing disorders. Her clinical and research interests include crisis intervention, suicide prevention/intervention, and disordered eating/body image. In her spare time, Joycelyn enjoys traveling, reading, indulging in new television series’, and trying out new local foods/restaurants.
