Dr Kadir Kozan is an assistant professor of Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies in the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems at Florida State University. His research focuses on how learning and performance technologies can help us enhance transfer of learning and performance, which directly informs the design and development of new learning and performance technologies having better affordances. This line of research incorporates "presence" and "(collective) working memory (load)" insights and address the intersections between and among engineering and technology education or STEM, instructional design, and human performance improvement/technology. The research context includes formal, informal, and nonformal (online, blended, hyflex) learning and performance environments. He also runs a research group called ALPS (Advanced Learning and Performance Systems).

Dr Kozan has also been reviewing for and got published in notable journals in the field including The Internet and Higher Education, and Computers & Education.

At FSU, Dr. Kozan typically teaches courses related to Instructional Design, Performance Improvement and Data Analysis including Intro to Systematic Instructional Design, Performance Systems Analysis and, Data Analysis and Reporting in Learning Design and Performance Technology.

Dr Kozan holds a PhD in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University where he also worked at School of Engineering Education and Department of Educational Studies previously.
