Alex Fisher is a doctoral student in Florida State University’s Combined Counseling Psychology and School Psychology Ph.D. program. He received his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2016. His research interests revolve around suicide prevention and crisis intervention in the active military component in hopes of creating policy changes and overcoming mental health stigmas. Prior to entering the program, Alex was part of a research team primarily focused on neuroscience and cognitive functioning in the geriatric population and how to maintain their quality of life. Alex enjoys hiking, kayaking, and finding great new places to eat in the local area.
