Heather Schultz

Name: Heather Schultz

Hometown: Pensacola, Florida

Program: Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)

Why did you choose your program?

When I was searching for the right program to pursue, I came across FSU and was immediately impressed by its reputation for providing a challenging and comprehensive education. What really stood out to me, however, was the fact that FSU's instructors are known for being incredibly supportive and dedicated to helping online learners succeed, especially those who work full-time. I knew that this was the environment I needed to pursue my goals and achieve my full potential.

What's your favorite part of your program?

The online Ed.D. program has an excellent design, as it supports the dissertation process through the assignments given throughout the program. The feedback provided on the assignments has proven to be valuable and thorough. Despite being a virtual program, I have had the opportunity to build strong relationships with other members of our cohort, as well as instructors, which has been an invaluable experience.

What do you want to do after you graduate?

I am passionate about continuing my work in K-12 education. My long-term career goal is to become a principal and eventually move into district leadership. My ultimate aim is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and educators alike by utilizing the knowledge and skills I have gained through this program.

The current educational climate presents significant challenges, but I am up for the task. I believe that with hard work, dedication, and the right mindset, we can overcome any obstacles and achieve our goals.
