Victoria Gaitanis

Elementary Education B.S. '96, Visual Disabilities M.S. '10

Victoria Gaitanis was named the Bureau Chief for the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services at the Florida Department of Education. Gaitanis will replace outgoing bureau chief Judith White, who is retiring. Currently, Gaitanis held the position of program director of Dispute Resolution and Monitoring.

Angela "AJ" Grube

Sport Management '98

Angela "AJ" Grube was named the new dean of the College of Business at Western Carolina University. Previously, Grube served a number of roles inside the College, including acting dean and interim associate dean, as well as professor of sport management.

Sport Management 2020 Internships

One of the things that make the Sport Management program at Florida State University one of the best in the country is its focus on connecting students with a sprawling network of professionals and internship opportunities. Of course, COVID-19 made this more complicated; however, not even a global pandemic can stop the program’s commitment to providing students with this hands-on experience. Many students chose to do their internships online.

Entrepreneurs in Education: Alumni on the Seminole 100 List

It is an easy assumption to make that graduates from a college of education go on to be educators. However, our alumni from the Florida State College of Education enter the workforce in a variety of ways, equipped with the skills and passion gained during their time here. Recently, the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship released its annual Seminole 100 list, which recognizes the fastest-growing businesses owned by FSU alumni. Three alumni from the College of Education made this prestigious list: Taylor Harris Gaynes, Jeff Hausinger and Karen Bartle Walker.
