    University Libraries offers a research consultation service for students and faculty. These are usually scheduled appointments with a librarian to consult on some aspect of the research or publication process.

    Topics for research consultations may include:

    • Developing a search strategy
    • Finding sources for paper or projects
    • Beginning a literature review
    • Managing references and citations
    • Questions about APA style
    • Identifying experts on a topic
    • Locating and using data sources or datasets
    • Creating a data management plan
    • Identifying journals for publication
    • Developing a digital scholarship project
    • Questions about copyright
    • Determining impact of research
    • Making your research open access
    • Troubleshooting problems accessing library resources
    • Getting materials not available at FSU
    • Developing course assignments that require use of research materials
