He chose #1"Toby Park, associate professor of Economics of Education and Education Policy in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and associate director of the Center for Postsecondary Success, has won the Transformation Through Teaching (T3) award. The award honors full-time faculty who have an intellectual, inspirational and integrative impact in student’s lives.     zuilkowski-X3Stephanie Zuilkowski, associate professor of International and Multicultural Education in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, published in the International Journal of Educational Development. The paper is entitled “Zambia’s school re-entry policy for adolescent mothers: Examining impacts beyond re-enrollment.” The article appears in the January 2019 issue of the journal.

    Associate professor of Mathematics Education Kathy Clark and associate professor of Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies Fengfeng Ke recently published an article in the Journal of Science and Mathematics Education entitled “Game-Based Multimodal Representations and Mathematical Problem Solving.” You can read the article online for free here.

    Casey Dozier and Deb Osborn successfully published a journal article entitled Cognitive information processing theory: Applications in research and practice. This article demonstrates both the practical applicability of the theory as well as the evidence-based research that supports the decision making model implemented at The Career Center. Dozier is the Program Director of Instruction, Research, and Evaluation at the Florida State University Career Center, Teaching Faculty of Psychological and Counseling Services in the Educational Psychology and Learning Systems Department at Florida State University, and Co-Director of The Center for the Study of Technology in Counseling and Career Development (Tech Center). Osborn is associate professor of Psychological and Counseling Services in the Educational Psychology and Learning Systems Department at Florida State University.

    Jenny Root

    Jenny Root, assistant professor of Special Education, won the 2019 Tom E. C. Smith Early Career Award from the Division on Autism & Developmental Disabilities (DADD). DADD is a part of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and awards this honor to individuals who have demonstrated “a high standard of research in intellectual disability, autism and/or developmental disabilities early in their career.” Root will accept the award during the annual meeting in January.

    Dr David Eccles-X3David Eccles, associate professor of the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems, was invited to serve as the associate editor of the Psychology and Social Sciences section of Research Quarterly in Exercise and Sport.

    Nicole Gabana-SNicole Gabana, assistant professor of Sport Psychology and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), received the 2018 Early Career Professional Award for Science and Practice in Public Health Endeavors from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
