    Congratulations to the COE graduate students who received an external award this year! The following students won awards this year:

    • Sheila Labissiere (Educational Policy & Evaluation Ph.D.) – Segal Americorp Education Award
    • Jacob Ellis (Higher Education M.S.) – Delta Upsilon McQuaid Scholarship
    • Marshall Anthony, Jr. (Higher Education Ph.D.) – Florida Gubernatorial Fellowship
    • Estee Hernández (Higher Education Ph.D.) – McKnight Dissertation Fellowship
    • Ashley Doehling (Higher Education M.S.) – Phi Eta Sigma Scott Goodnight Fellowship
    • Nicole McMahan (Educational Leadership & Administration M.S.) – Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Continuing Education Grant
    • Min Wang (International & Multicultural Education Ph.D.) – Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) International Peace Scholar Award
    • Dionne Wilson (Science Education Ph.D.) – McKnight Doctoral Fellowship
    • Tamara Quiney (Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies M.S.) – Association for Talent Development (ATD) Scholarship

    FSU’s Spring 2019 Celebration of Graduate Student Excellence will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 3:30-5:00 pm in the FSU Alumni Center Grand Ballroom. The Graduate School will be recognizing and highlighting the achievements of all graduate students who have received external fellowships and awards for the 2018-19 academic year. Award recipients will be included in the printed program, recognized during the ceremony, and have a picture taken with Dean Mark Riley.

     

     


    March 19, 2019

    James Hernandez (Learning and Cognition M.S.) and Amanda Campos (Learning and Cognition M.S.) advanced in the Master’s-in-Four competition. As finalists, they will give a presentation on April 4 in the FSU Student Life Building. The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize. Presenters have just four minutes and four slides in a presentation to explain their original research to an audience and judges.

    Shiyi Chen FSUShiyi Chen (Learning and Cognition Ph.D.) has been selected as a recipient of a 2019 Graduate Student Research and Creativity Award. The annual award is given by the Florida State University Graduate School to recognize the best of the best student research projects across the entire campus. Chen will attend an award ceremony at the FSU Alumni Center and be recognized for her accomplishments.
