Lauren Bagdy (Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies Ph.D.) was selected as a Lee W. Cochran Intern by the Association of Education Communications and Technology (AECT). Individuals chosen to receive this internship demonstrate “significant potential to provide future leadership for AECT and in the broader field.” Bagdy was chosen due to her leadership skills and personal accomplishment in the field of instructional design.

James A. Hernandez (Learning & Cognition M.S./Ph.D.) received a McKnight Fellowship. The fellowship, established by the Florida Education Fund, provides five years of funding support to doctoral candidates. The McKnight Fellowship particularly aims support African American and Hispanic students seeking doctoral degrees and aims to help support historically underrepresented populations. Hernandez is one of just seven other FSU graduate students who received the fellowship this summer.
