Katie McLean, (Alumna)

Katie is currently a doctoral student in the Combined Counseling Psychology and School Psychology PhD program at Florida State University. Prior to entering the doctoral program, Katie worked as a researcher and Mental Health Specialist at a residential facility for abused and traumatized children in Northeast Ohio. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy in 2013 from Furman University. Katie is currently researching how living-learning communities protect against distress and suicidality in first-year students transitioning to college. Katie also loves running, singing, playing guitar, and traveling!
