Dr. Jenkins is the Michael and Jean Shahnasarian Endowed Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems.  She received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Northern Illinois University.  She is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

Dr. Jenkins is currently working with a team of students on bullying and childhood trauma prevention research. You can learn more about the team and their research initiatives here. One of the major projects in the lab is the IVY project, which is focused on developing intervention program for children and adolescents who have been targets of bullying, sexual harassment, and microaggressions.  Click here to learn more about IVY.

Dr. Jenkins is the Program Director of the M.S./Ed.S. School Psychology program (click here for more information) as well as the Combined Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology (click here for more information). Dr. Jenkins typically accepts 1-2 doctoral students each year for the combined Ph.D. program in Counseling and School Psychology.  Click here for more information about applying to the program.

Dr. Jenkins is also Director of the Seminoles ASPIRE and STRIDES programs which help provide mental health services to youth in local schools. Related to these efforts, she received a University Teaching Award in 2023 for Community Engaged Teaching.
