Dr. Ian Whitacre is an Associate Professor in Elementary Mathematics Education in the School of Teacher Education at Florida State University. He studies mathematical thinking and learning, focusing on both preservice elementary teachers and K-8 students. His current project involves the use of PhET interactive computer simulations in the teaching of K-1 mathematics.
