Dr. Elizabeth Jakubowski, Associate Professor, is interested in the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels, including the infusion of technology and ways to ensure mathematics equity. She received her Ed.D. in mathematics education from the University of Georgia in 1988 and has been a member of the Florida State University faculty since 1987. Her master’s degree, which she received in 1982, is in Curriculum and Supervision from the University of South Florida. She taught for four years at the middle grades level when she taught mathematics and computer science. She has also taught in summer programs for high school students. Her research interests include teacher education involving both prospective and practicing teachers, policy issues in mathematics education, and equity. She is very active in the professional community holding offices at the local, state, and national levels.
