Brandon Cooper, M.S. (Alumnus)

Brandon T. Cooper (“Coop”) is a 1st year doctoral student at Florida State University in the Combined Counseling Psychology and School Psychology program. Coop received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology from The Ohio State University in 2010. In 2012, he received his master’s in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. He is currently working on completing his master’s thesis towards a master’s degree in Sport Psychology at Florida State University. His research interests include mindfulness, self-compassion, injury and pain, and coping with stress/distress. In addition to his school work, Coop is involved in FSU’s Sport Psychology Organization and Research Team (SPORT), and FSU’s Active Minds organization. He also enjoys his work with FSU student academic services and mentoring Seminole student-athletes. In his free time, Coop enjoys lifting weights, yoga, and watching sports of all kinds.
