The Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) degree program is not just made up of a diversity of majors; it is an intellectual community of scholars who work together to advance our understanding of student learning and how teachers can be best prepared to support that learning. Our community has a diverse set of interests and we support each of our graduate students’ work to pursue these interests. Keeping with the tradition of collaboration and knowledge sharing, our program faculty and students publish in scholarly and practitioner journals and present at regional, national, and international conferences. Although, the C&I degree program is situated within a major research university and its scholars conduct innovative and groundbreaking research, the program offers a “small school” atmosphere and students benefit from attentive mentoring from faculty and the wider academic community.
