Master’s student shines in seafood research: Connects academia to industry
Samuel Kwawukume, a master’s student in the nutrition and food science program, received scholarships from the Southern Shrimp Alliance and Florida Sea Grant this summer to support his research and work on seafood species identification in the lab of Associate Professor Prashant Singh.
School Counseling Master's Students Named FSCA Emerging Leaders
Three students in the FSU School Counseling program were named 2022-2023 Emerging Leaders by the Florida School Counselor Association (FSCA). Felicia "Fay" Noil, Aaron Tillman, and Gabrielle Jackson are three of the first students named FSCA Emerging Leaders since the FSU School Counseling program relaunched.

School leaders are no strangers to dealing with challenges. For years, school leadership has dealt with issues of teacher recruitment, retention, student success, and safety. More recently, they have also had to address important conversations about equity and social justice. These historic and new challenges require a different approach to education and preparation of school leadership.
