Emily Stover, a 2nd Year Ph.D. student in Special Education, has been selected as a 2022-2023 DEI Liaison for DADD. DADD recognizes the need to pay attention to factors of racial/ethnic injustice, disability injustice, and accessibility that negatively impact its members’ lives.
From January 28 – 30, nearly 500 high school students from around the state attended the 33rd annual Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) Conference. This year’s theme was “Ride the Wave to Success and Teach!” and provided members of FFEA chapters from around the state with the chance to meet fellow students and network with outstanding current teachers as they learn more about becoming a teacher themselves.

Ever wonder who sets up the branded environments at events, concerts, and sports games? Well, Etzel Agency is one of those companies, and they work very closely with ESPN and other large companies to dress the stadium and event spaces for important games and events. Earlier this month, four of our Sport Management students were surprised with a rare opportunity to get hands-on experience in this space.
This past November, eight College of Education graduate students were honored at the 37th McKnight Annual Fellows Meeting in Tampa for having received the McKnight Doctoral or Dissertation Fellowship.
The 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 cohorts attended alongside the recent graduates, who were honored during a jacketing ceremony.

With a new year comes a new program in the FSU College of Education. We’re excited to announce that our highly ranked Measurement & Statistics program is now offering an online master’s degree!
While FSU’s Measurement & Statistics program has existed since 1995, the new online master’s option was designed to meet the needs of working professionals and students looking for a more flexible route to pursuing a graduate degree. Our online offerings combine both synchronous and asynchronous courses to meet students’ varied schedules.
