Christopher Iansiti (ISLT M.S., '94) has assumed the role of chair of the Florida State University Foundation Board of Trustees.
Each year, Florida’s school districts have the opportunity to recognize and celebrate 74 teachers as District Teachers of the Year. These top educators are selected for many reasons including extraordinary student gains, community involvement, teacher leadership and instructional practices. Of the District Teachers of the Year, five will be selected as finalists to win the Teacher of the Year Award.
This year, 11 of the District Teachers of the Year are FSU graduates:

Tarlan Chahardovali (Sport Management Ph.D. '21) recently accepted a new tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the University of South Carolina's Department of Sport and Entertainment Management.

Ben Cecil (Higher Ed. M.S. '15), who is currently a Graduate Research Associate with ACEducation and a Ph.D. candidate at The University of Georgia's Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education, will be a featured speaker for the FSU Higher Education Student Affairs Leadership course. He will discuss the topic of administration and governance in higher education.

Since 1985, Florida State University’s College of Education has spotlighted extraordinary alumni during our annual Distinguished Alumni Awards. These alumni are honored for their academic, creative, and humanitarian achievements in a variety of categories.
