And thanks to our location in the heart of it all, FSU College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences students and alumni have access to career opportunities not found anywhere else and are an integral part of shaping Florida’s educational system and legislation every day.

Tallahassee’s location in the Florida Panhandle is just 25 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and beautiful beaches and 14 miles south of Georgia. It is easily accessible by one of four major highways as well as the Tallahassee Regional Airport.

Our great city always has an answer to the age-old question – “what are we going to do today?” Whether you prefer social events, fantastic restaurants and nightlife, quirky little shops and farmer’s markets, outdoor festivities, cultural landmarks, theatre and dance, athletic events, fitness facilities, or anything else… Tallahassee offers plenty of everything you love.

Get some fresh air! Tallahassee is truly the great outdoors. Hike or bike through the Apalachicola National Forest or any of the area’s 63 recreational parks covering 306 miles of hiking, biking, and walking trails. Head to the Gulf for a picnic or dolphin-watching. Flyfish. Kayak. Swim. Stroll. Golf. Ride a horse. Or hop in the car and head to the beach.
